Mental Heath & Safety should be as important as Physical Health & Safety.

Together, Altrad and CALM are setting out to make mental health more visible across the Industrial Sector.

Culture of care

At Altrad, we're committed to building a culture of care - one where everyone feel safe enough to be their authentic selves, and where mental health is valued just as much as physical health. This partnership reflects our belief that wellbeing should be woven into every part of working life, for every role, in every location.

More than statistics

One in four of us experience suicidal thoughts in our lifetime, and suicide is biggest killer of men under fifty. But this partnership is not about statistics - it is about people. Mental health affects all of us, and we are committed to making sure everyone at Altrad feels supported and heard.

Preventing suicide since 2005, when we became a national charity.

Why we exist

One in four of us will have suicidal thoughts in our life.

CALM’s vision is that no one feels like suicide is their only option. But right now, too many people are struggling to see a way forward.

Every day in the UK we lose 18 people to suicide. This isn’t just a stat on a page. These are our mums and dads, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partners and friends. That’s why we’re here to help anyone struggling with life - and provide everyone with the skills to help prevent suicide.

What we do

Helping people end their misery, not their lives.

People who feel suicidal will often say that they don’t want to die - they want the pain and misery they’re experiencing to end.

But when you’re struggling, you often can’t see a way out. You see suicide as the only option. But we know it’s not. We know there’s always a reason to stay.
